The Salmon Leap first opened its doors in 1962 by the Strongs in Romsey, since 1994 Eric Light the current landlord has owned The Salmon Leap making it into a local hot spot for events, food and drink and a wonderful meeting place for patrons and locals alike.
The Salmon Leap sits on the site of the Old Dower House which was built some time in the 18th century by the Serle family who owned the Great Testwood estate. The estate is rich in history and can be traced back to a reference in the Domesday Book, life at the Great Testwood estate came to an end in 1931 when the land was broken up into ten parcels and sold for a variety of uses, but the old gate house still sits proudly at the top of the lane.
This family owned venue offers a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food and drink for all to enjoy.
